For over 70 years, VSP Vision has been a purpose-driven company focused on the long-term success of the profession. We have and will continue to invest in the success of private practice doctors every step of the way. Here’s a look at the impact we’re making together.
Applications now open for the 2027 cohort! VSP is investing in the future of optometry through the VSP Future Leaders Academy, a hands-on professional development program that helps early career ODs build leadership skills, advance their careers, and strengthen industry connections. Watch the video at left to hear what impacted recent graduates most.
To date, VSP has invested $20M in the industry through scholarships, student debt relief, and state optometric association sponsorships.
Together, we’re making an impact on the industry, the community, and the future of optometry – while helping private practices get the most out of their relationship with VSP Vision™.
Bringing Essential Eye Care Directly to Underserved Communities For Jennifer Chin, OD, volunteering with the VSP Eyes of Hope Mobile Eye Clinic underscored a critical truth: for many underserved communities, the biggest barrier to eye care is access. Read how her work with Eyes of Hope helps create that access, removing obstacles and connecting more people to care that can improve vision, confidence, and overall well-being. Read her story and watch her in action at a mobile clinic.
VSP Vision Eyes of Hope provides access to no-cost eye care, eyewear, and disaster relief in places where it’s needed most across country.
VSP is committed to supporting and partnering with the next generation of optometrists.
Patients with vision insurance receive eye exams more frequently than those without vision coverage. With the critical connection between vision care and overall health, VSP encourages millions of VSP Vision Care members to visit a VSP network doctor, supporting access to millions of patients and billions of dollars in revenue each year.
In the past two years, VSP has provided more than $300,000 to state optometric associations for disaster relief, children’s vision initiatives, and combating anti-optometry legislation, such as “not-a-doctor” initiatives in several states.
